That’s A Wrap – Week 45

Bed Racing, Live Streaming and Video Production This Week

The Phoenixville Bed Races was a success! Participating teams built, decorated, and raced beds on wheels down Second Avenue in Reeves Park to raise funds for two nonprofits. What a great way to have fun and support a cause.

The team was all hands on deck to help with live streaming for the BTCPA. The event was held at the Hyatt Place on the Wilmington Riverfront. We also provided graphic and audio elements that were seen during the event. It was a pleasure to listen to all the speakers and to work with the BTCPA.

We assisted Jamie Hess again, shooting some behind the scene footage and testimonials from her speech for the Polkadot Powerhouse group at the Kennett Square Country Club. Jamie spoke about holding yourself accountable and becoming radically aligned to be radically happy.  What a positive way to end our week!

We lit the night in Wilmington for Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Light The Night ceremony. We gathered as a community to honor and celebrate, to remember those impacted by blood cancers. Join us in the fight to cure cancer!

Speeding things up we headed to the kitchen to shoot the pilot episode for Plate at 8, starring Don McNeill and Chef Dana where they teach us how to “chef up” some Chi Chi Della Nonna.  How awesome is that?

We all should celebrate with CRA! Did you check out the 2022 DCRAC Awards this week? This year it was all about Game Changers, Risk Takers! We assembled the video for the 2022 CRA Awards and If you missed out,  check out the recap below!

The boys are back in town! Our employee engagement team The Fun Dept. will be heading to several WSFS Bank locations all throughout October in Delaware, Philadelphia, and even New Jersey to seize the moment to have fun! (They have 90 branches – but we can’t be everywhere!)

We wrapped up this week by doing more shoots for the Office of Child Advocates, and prepping for an upcoming shoot next week for Plate At 8. We are excited for what’s to come!

The Big Dill, Neil Energy, Brandywine River Restoration, and Tilly’s Escape

This action-packed week kicked off with The Big Dill and it was exactly that. Hosted by our own Christopher Bruce, people from all over the US came to Baltimore to celebrate, taste, party, and enjoy all things PICKLE. RISE and BRINE!

The Office of the Child Advocate called on us to help produce a training module designed to help medical professionals identify the signs of abuse. We are glad we could help make our community safer.

Shifting gears, Neil Energy leaned on the fun dept. to activate their team Field Day at the Chase Fieldhouse, bringing to life their Olympic-themed carnival experience filled with team activities, a full midway, and plenty of SWAG!!!

City council member and BRRT advocate, Zanthia Oliver, shared why supporting the Brandywine River Restoration efforts are important to her and our city. Visit www.brrt.org to learn more.

We closed out the week celebrating our efforts in the production of the Harriet Tubman-inspired “Tilly Escape” story in partnership with the National Underground Railroad Network to Freedom, the Seaford Historical Society, and the City of Wilmington Preservation Planning Office at a film premiere down in Seaford, DE.

Another Busy Week in Delaware – Tedx, Brandywine Arts Festival, and some Boxing Memories

The Brandywine Festival of the Arts happened this week. The Brandywine Festival of the Arts is an annual arts festival in Wilmington, Delaware, featuring hundreds of artists exhibiting one-of-a-kind art. We created videos and graphics that were used at the event as well as to promote the festival.

Damon Feldman, the founder of “Official Celebrity Boxing” was in the studio this week, where we talked about a future project (not quite a secret project, but not enough to talk about here either). The project will have us dig deep through the archives to create a piece where we retell stories and memories and relive the best fights that happened over the years. What is your favorite Official Celebrity Boxing match?

Next on the docket we headed down to Iron Hill Brewery on the Riverfront. We took some footage and captured some photos for the DCRAC board meeting where they celebrated their very own Jaclyn Quinn for all the hard work she does. Work is always fun when food is involved!

We helped out behind the scenes for Jamie Hess TEDx talk at Theater N. Where she described how she found herself stuck in a cycle of compulsive overeating after the birth of her first child. The team helped take some B roll and filmed the event, which will be made into a thrilling teaser video.

Are you ready to party? The Delaware Black Chamber of Commerce 2nd Year Gala is finally here! The KC team helped out all throughout the event. What an awesome, fun, and beautiful night to celebrate the Chamber and its members; see you next year!

Delaware Burger Battle and some Tasty Keke Della Nonna

If you’re a foodie and like to have a good time, I hope you got a chance to attend the Burger Battle. Our Chris emceed the Delaware Burger Battle in spectacular fashion. The Burger Battle founded in 2012 is one of Delaware’s premier food competitions for chefs and restaurants.

Yes…. More shoots for the Delaware Black Chamber of Commerce happened this week, as we continue to work on the final details for the 2nd Year Gala. One of the shoots included Lisa Blunt Rochester where she gave her thanks to Ayanna and the chambers for all the hard work they do. Hurry up and buy your tickets before they sell out!

The Fun Dept. headed to Salem, New Jersey, to help some eager freshmen begin their journeys into college. What a blast we had and what a thrilling start to the school year for the incoming freshman!

Next, the team headed over to Piccolina Toscana to turn up the heat in the kitchen! We did a shoot with Dan Butler where he showed us how they cooked their famous keke della nonna. This footage will become a part of an amazing sizzle video, so stay tuned to see how it all turns out!

40 under 40, Smashing Silos, and Getting together with the DBCC

This week was busy, starting with more shoots for the Delaware Business Times 40 Under 40 campaign. We are cranking to get the project dialed in and ready with the Awards approaching.

Connecting is what we do, and this week Delaware Business First is partnering with the Delaware Black Chamber of Commerce as their Official FREE Monthly Networking Event. This will create great opportunities to continue to MIX, MINGLE, and GROW at a whole new level. Come and connect and join us at our next networking event on the 3rd Tuesday of every month.

To bring this week to a close we focused on celebrating 30 years of business for the SiloSmashers. We did a shoot with JoAnn Babbie, the director of corporate quality, to take the lead on celebrating the journey of this woman-owned company.  Congrats to the SiloSmashers organization!

What they do: SiloSmashers set out to change how government agencies and corporations manage programs — and smash silo operations. Working in silos creates isolation and obstacles to effective communication and collaboration across agencies and corporations — reducing efficiency and hampering progress.

#MILLSUMMIT, Tilly’s Escape, and Happy Birthday Mia!

Happy Birthday to you! This week the team did a birthday shoot for Karen Martinelli’s daughter Mia. Mia and her friends celebrated by walking the runway, wearing silly costumes, and dancing in a few of our studio setups. We sure had a blast!

The #MILLSUMMIT conference at The Queen was this week and it was eventful. #MILLSUMMIT attracts tons of professionals, tastemakers, leaders, and upcoming talent from all backgrounds who want to make an impact on the world and their communities. If you’ve missed out, make sure you attend next year!

We also had some planning to do this week for our meeting with the Network To Freedom to discuss the recent cut of our ‘Tilly Escape’ video. The Tilly Escape video project focuses on a woman named Tilly who was led by Harriet Tubman from slavery in Baltimore through Seaford, DE, on their way to freedom. The “Tilly Escape” will be premiered at the Governor Ross Mansion in Seaford, Delaware, on September 29th.

Goodwill, Mascots and Man City

To wrap up the Man City summer tour we traveled up to the historic Lambeau Field in Green Bay. We cheered, celebrated, and engaged with fans while Man City took on FC Bayern Munich. This was the first ever non-Packers match to be played at the LAMBEAU… How awesome is that? YOU COULD EVEN SAY IT’S BANANAS!

Do you like mascots? Who doesn’t? The team has been helping develop the Mascot Hall of Fame Awards, covering categories from professional, collegiate, high school, and even corporate characters engaging the public to determine winners for a variety of awards. Check out www.mascothalloffame.com to learn more and see who takes home a Golden Reggy!

We’re on the road again, to do some fun on the run with Goodwill. Now traveling to southern locations in lower Delaware, the team laughed, smiled, and celebrated the Goodwill employees for their hard work. This time was for them to ease off from work, have a restorative break, and have some fun.

That’s A Wrap – Week 21

Last Friday, the Brandywine River Restoration Trust trusted us to run the visuals for their first event Gala Dinner supporting their mission to restore the Brandywine River, remove dams, and improve the ecosystem.

WJBR came to the KC studio to shoot on our greenscreen. We might have had a bit too much fun, but it turned out great!

Floyd Armstrong couldn’t get enough and flew back in to work with our own Herb Middleton in the recording studio on some music and record videos for his own personal brand.

Other than that we were busy prepping for projects for The Pete DuPont Freedom Foundation, DoMore24DE, the #MILLSUMMIT, the fun dept, and Nemours to name a few.

Thanks for another Inspiring, Creative, and Productive Week!
