That’s A Wrap – Week 37

Another Busy Week in Delaware – Tedx, Brandywine Arts Festival, and some Boxing Memories

The Brandywine Festival of the Arts happened this week. The Brandywine Festival of the Arts is an annual arts festival in Wilmington, Delaware, featuring hundreds of artists exhibiting one-of-a-kind art. We created videos and graphics that were used at the event as well as to promote the festival.

Damon Feldman, the founder of “Official Celebrity Boxing” was in the studio this week, where we talked about a future project (not quite a secret project, but not enough to talk about here either). The project will have us dig deep through the archives to create a piece where we retell stories and memories and relive the best fights that happened over the years. What is your favorite Official Celebrity Boxing match?

Next on the docket we headed down to Iron Hill Brewery on the Riverfront. We took some footage and captured some photos for the DCRAC board meeting where they celebrated their very own Jaclyn Quinn for all the hard work she does. Work is always fun when food is involved!

We helped out behind the scenes for Jamie Hess TEDx talk at Theater N. Where she described how she found herself stuck in a cycle of compulsive overeating after the birth of her first child. The team helped take some B roll and filmed the event, which will be made into a thrilling teaser video.

Are you ready to party? The Delaware Black Chamber of Commerce 2nd Year Gala is finally here! The KC team helped out all throughout the event. What an awesome, fun, and beautiful night to celebrate the Chamber and its members; see you next year!

Thank you for another Inspiring, Creative, and Productive Week!

40 under 40, Smashing Silos, and Getting together with the DBCC

This week was busy, starting with more shoots for the Delaware Business Times 40 Under 40 campaign. We are cranking to get the project dialed in and ready with the Awards approaching.

Connecting is what we do, and this week Delaware Business First is partnering with the Delaware Black Chamber of Commerce as their Official FREE Monthly Networking Event. This will create great opportunities to continue to MIX, MINGLE, and GROW at a whole new level. Come and connect and join us at our next networking event on the 3rd Tuesday of every month.

To bring this week to a close we focused on celebrating 30 years of business for the SiloSmashers. We did a shoot with JoAnn Babbie, the director of corporate quality, to take the lead on celebrating the journey of this woman-owned company.  Congrats to the SiloSmashers organization!

What they do: SiloSmashers set out to change how government agencies and corporations manage programs — and smash silo operations. Working in silos creates isolation and obstacles to effective communication and collaboration across agencies and corporations — reducing efficiency and hampering progress.

DBCC, AARP, DBT and #MILSUMMIT

Another meeting is down in the books for the team as the Delaware Black Chamber of Commerce plans for the second annual gala. With the 2nd year gala approaching in almost less than a month, we gathered to fine-tune details and provide an amazing event for everyone attending.

Next, the team worked together with Sheila from AARP of DE to make the final edits for the #MILLSUMMIT Podcast featuring Anthony Oneil and Blake “The Brain” Saunders. If you like a good conversation about financial literacy, relationships, and a plethora of other amazing topics, make sure you give the podcast a listen.

To end this week off, the team stayed focused on prepping and creating plans for upcoming projects like Delaware Business Times 40 Under 40 shoot, the SiloSmashers (in June, SiloSmashers was named to the Washington Post’s 2022 Top Workplaces!) shoot, and all things Fun Dept.

Thanks for checking us out through another Inspiring, Creative, and Productive Week!

Fun with Goodwill of DE, Fitness and Friendship with Jamie Hess, Getting Ready for the DBCC Gala

We kicked off the week with Jamie Hess discussing details for her next Backyard Burn event on July 17th. The Backyard Burn series was created in the pandemic as a space for women to come together and celebrate fitness & friendship, while enjoying some fresh air and fun. The team will be capturing audio and video footage at the event to be used on social media to promote future events and highlight some sponsors.

With the Delaware Black Chamber of Commerce 2nd Annual Gala approaching, the team headed to the Chamber’s office to work out the final details and prepare for the upcoming event. Did you get your tickets yet? We will be there with bells on and can’t wait to celebrate and honor the Chamber and its members!

To wrap up the week, our company engagement division, The Fun Dept, went to several Goodwill locations to give them a chance to pause and unwind. This is the 1st of two groups The Fun Dept will be traveling to this month. The second being on July 28th, when they’re heading to southern locations. Definitely check back to see all the FUN and thrilling activities!

That’s A Wrap – Week 25

The Nemours Prom and A New Location for Delaware Business First

The Prom is finally here! This week was the Nemours Drive-in Prom, where kids who could not attend their own prom were given a chance to experience a night to remember. Our team helped with graphics, visuals, and promotion for the event. The event was emceed by Christopher Bruce along with his co-host Shane who kept the show rocking and rolling throughout the night and even gave the kids a demo on how to master the slingshot.

Also, this week was the Delaware Business First event hosted at Stitch House Brewery. This time around we are celebrating Caribbean Heritage Month with beautiful island music played on a steel drum by Atiba. As always, this monthly networking series is dedicated to bringing together business owners and entrepreneurs in the greater Brandywine Valley.

Next, we met with the Delaware Black Chamber of Commerce’s president, Ayanna, for a walkthrough at the Dupont Country Club to help coordinate and plan their 2nd annual fundraising gala on September 16th.

Lasty, we had an opportunity to fly out to Houston, Texas, to help with the Manchester City summer promo. Man City will travel to the US for two preseason games later this summer in preparation for the 2022/2023 season.
Yes, our arms were tired. #oldjokeoftheweek
