Village Improvement Association

The Village Improvement Association is a great venue for wedding receptions or special events on the Rehoboth Beach boardwalk. With a beautiful view of the beach, boardwalk, and ocean, the banquet room with a vaulted ceiling can hold up to 150 people. The venue is conveniently located near hotels and has a good amount of on-site parking. They also have a spacious deck, caterer’s kitchen, and are handicap accessible. The Village Improvement Association provides a list of recommended caterers and vendors for those planning a special event.

Interview with Gloria Farrow, a board member of the Village Improvement Association which is a women’s organization based in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware that was founded in 1909. They do fundraising to support various causes, including health and wellness, domestic violence help, arts and culture, and homelessness. They are participating in Delaware’s largest giving day, #DoMore24DE, to raise money for the homeless population in Sussex County, Delaware. They are an all-volunteer organization, and all of the money raised goes directly to support their causes. They also organize various fundraising events, such as fashion shows, tea parties, bingo, and art shows. According to Gloria, they are excited to participate in the campaign and hope to gain awareness and support from donors not only in Delaware but also from all over the country and the world.
