Interview with Kate Rosenthal, a representative from Paws for People, a pet therapy non-profit founded in 2005. The organization trains volunteers with their gentle pets, mainly dogs, to provide pet therapy at various sites such as hospitals, nursing homes, schools, and libraries, where people can benefit from interaction with pets. They also do about 400 community events each year. Kate discusses pet therapy’s physiological and mental health benefits and the organization’s focus on reaching new supporters and community partners through the fundraising campaign.
